Additional Information:

This tug was built in Holland at Scheepswerf Schouten BV in 1972. She has a GM 12V71 main engine putting out 425hp which was overhauled/rebuilt and fitted in October 2012. She has a 3 blade propeller in a Kort Steering Nozzle with a 5:1 twin disk gearbox resulting in a 6.5tbp. In conjunction with a 50hp hydraulic bow thruster, she is an easy boat to manoeuvre.

The boat has been in our company since 2010 and has proved a reliable and capable tug/workboat carrying out many on site towing jobs around the country. She is Workboat Code Category 2 (60nm from a safe haven) and is being sold as we have bought a bigger and more powerful replacement.

She has 4 berths for occasional overnight use, a small galley and a toilet. There is a 10.5kva Lister air cooled generator providing 240vac throughout the boat. In the wheelhouse there is a GPS chartplotter, GMDSS VHF radio, radar, depthsounder, AIS and an autopilot. Steering can be carried out manually or by hydraulics controlled by a joystick.

On deck there is a hand operated anchor winch at the bow and a towpost with quick release towing hook on the aft deck.
