Accommodation:

From forward: FORE PEAK with chain lock and the FORECABIN has two single berths in V -form each with mattress and stowage spaces under. A opening hatch is set on the centre line and has a glazed section providing natural light to the cabin environment. Moving aft the HEADS compartment is set across the beam of the vessel with hand-basin (S) and manual pumped sea toilet (P). Further aft is the MAIN SALOON area with bench seating/single berths (P&S) and on the centre line is a table with hinged sections providing a useful dining / chart table area. The GALLEY (S) comprises - a stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water supply and a gimballed gas stove with twin top burners and glass-fronted oven. Companionway steps lead to the WHEELHOUSE which is open backed with seating port and starboard and access to the engine under the floor. The helm position (P) has the traditional wheel and instrument console fitted against the forward bulkhead. The area can be enclosed with a canopy. The AFT CABIN is accessed on the starboard side with hanging lockers and bench seating (P&S) with a table set on the centre line 'right aft'. Stowage spaces are within the seating structures. Within the raised section of the cabin (above deck level) traditional circular ports are located providing good lighting to the cabin.

Deck Equipment

The craft's deck equipment includes a manual windlass on the Foredeck handling the CQR anchor with chain gypsy and standard winch. Tubular stainless stanchions / hand-rails, are fitted around the vessel's working deck provide safety when moving around the deck areas. Typical bronze deck fittings and Tufnel winches for the sheets and halyards are representative of the era of the vessel's build.
Sails and Rig This craft is Sloop-rigged with a varnished single-spreader wooden mast stepped directly forward of the accommodation superstructure. (see picture). The galvanised standing rigging is by Tolerate with roller furling on the inner forestay and lines fed aft to the Wheelhouse. The outer Forestay leads directly to a short 'sprit ' with halyard taken to the mast-head and brought down to a mast winch. 'Sheets' for both fore-sails are brought aft to winches located at the rear of the open-backed Wheelhouse. The mainsail is also hoisted by 'foot-of-the-mast' winch with adjacent cleat and appropriate cordage. A roller furling system is provided.
