The twin CATERPILLAR marine diesel engines are each rated at 7.3 ltrs in a straight 6-cylinder configuration. Fresh water cooled (via heat exchangers) turbo-charged and intercooled. The units are close-coupled to Twin Disc MG5061A 1.5:1 reduction ratio, down-angle hydraulic gearboxes driving conventional 2" stainless steel T-Met 25 shafts with 5-bladed 23" bronze propellers through bronze legs and 'P' brackets.
Electro-hydraulic trim tabs fitted aft. Steering Type: Wheel (hydraulic).

Deck Equipment
Stainless steel (s/s) Pulpit rails - with bow extension and hinged section aft for access to the side decks - run to both sides of the craft.
Cockpit side and grab rails continue to enclose the deck areas. The Flybridge ladder - with teak treads - continues with Flybridge surround rails including the screen rail. A 2-tier gantry mast is fitted over, carrying antennea, navigation lights, etc. There are 7 s/s adjustable rod-holders, 4 flush-mounted s/ s rod holders and 2 Penn down-rigger mounts. The Fore-deck has a bow roller, mounted on a protection plate together with two stainless steel fairleads. The anchor chain passes over the self-stowing bow roller. A protection plate is fitted to the stem. The chain is lead to the S-L Sprint 1506 electric winch. A 30Kg Bruce anchor is fitted. Stainless steel deck scuppers clear the Cockpit and the three engine exhaust outlets have stainless steel flaps. Heavy duty rubber 'D' fendering is fitted all round at gunwhale level.

Additional Information:

A fine example of the Lochin marque where the owner required the known qualities of the hull form an d performance, to which he added his personal design. The result is a very superior internal design prepared to a high standard of professional workmanship. Recently reduced in price to encourage early sale.

Accommodation:
From Aft: The COCKPIT is self-draining measuring approx. 3.96m/13 ft long by 3.35m/11 ft wide with non-slip coating. The coamings are teak laid, with rails and flush mounted stainless steel rod holders. Across the stern there are rod holders and location bases for two Penn downriggers. Flush hatches give access to the steering gear and emergency tiller, seacocks and glass-top water strainers for both engines and generator. Two forward hatches give good access to the main engines with steel chequer tread plate and access to all main service points. Access to the Foredeck is via the sidedecks, again coated with grey gritted gel non-slip and protected by the side & pulpit rails. The flybridge, accessed via an angled ladder with teak treads to stbd from the Cockpit, has an upholstered bench seating to Port and Stbd and a central helm position forward with duplicated engine controls and repeated navigation equipment. A substantial stainless steel gantry supports all navigation lights, antennae etc. Access to the DECK SALOON is via a central teak two-piece Cockpit door. The helm position is forward to Port at a raised level and equipped with a suspension seat. All listed navigation equipment and displays are directed to the He lm together with the engine controls and instrumentation. A large L-shaped settee is to Stbd and a single matching seat is just aft of the Helm. The whole area is well appointed and offers considerable comfort for up to six persons. A curved companionway to Std leads to the Galley, Heads and the four berths in the Fore -cabin, using the generous flair of the bows to provide tiered berths without the 'closed-in' effect of being directly above.
