Other information:
We set out in 2014 to build the most simple ClassVI boat we could to operate a 1.5 hr wildlife trip from a tidal harbour. Boat completed/ working in August 2015.

Brief was 60 Pax outside/ 25-30 undercover if raining and area for a small bar/ shop. A lot to ask of a 12m.
Draft was a big consideration along with stability, useable toilet, easy access, pax room to move about and dry boat essential. She's been successfully operating this brief and is now in her 4th season.

Fuel economy a priority for our operation over speed. She sits at 8 knots all day @ 1800rpm (app 20l/hr, less than £10/hr to operate after duty/vat), 10 knots @2000. Lightships will pick up and do 14 knots if moving between areas. Fuel economy pretty good at 8-10 knots fully loaded.
Single helm on flybridge allowing max use of cabin space. Awning keeps sun/ rain off and wrap around visor keeps a sheltered trip for skipper. Complete vision of all 4 corners. Very easy to manoeuvre. Masses of torque so close to shore bow in never a concern reversing off with up her. PRM boxes allow full throttle Fwd/Rev.

Stability book completed. Passenger Certificate currently in date/ operating today. Cert valid to 30/3 2020. 65 ferryman LR on hire - 100% liferaft capacity with req 10% buoyant app made up with life rings. Looks like all CVI going 100% instead of 60:40 after PAX boat review actions coming in next few years, she's compliant.
Usual Class VI, 1 skipper/ 1crew, provision for additional 1 crew (carry 63 total) as we require bar staff on evening trips.
MMP rope cutters, brilliant/ no moving parts.

Best thing we did mid build was to add the bulbous noses. This gives her a bow proud static position and a very well balanced and dry boat underway. She does not push a wave in front of her like a lot of cats. Noses also act as rope catcher if any floating rope on water. Sacrificial glass on front 4m incase she took the ground loading but she never has.

Plenty of storage, starboard locker shelved out for bar supplies, tools/ oils etc. Big, sturdy skids protecting props, took 2 knots off top end but worth it.

New vessel arriving in next month. Built again by Blyth Catamarans as we know they will build a robust and straight forward boat that we can put to work for a long time.

Any viewings welcome or call for a chat. She will be working to end of June but is available after that.
