Additional Information:

This 2010 12m GRP Motor Vessel designed with full structural design and general arrangements by Arthur Mursell of the renowned TT Boat Designs Ltd, built completely by the highly respected boat builders South Boat is in Isle of Wight and is the incarnation of a proven hull design, but fitted out internally to a yacht standard finish, including a comprehensive top quality electronics package, achieves fast and efficient running at cruising speeds and loitering, combined with excellent sea-keeping, refined from the experience gained by TT boat designs with the well proven South Boats craft at 10m, 11m, 12m, 13.5m, 14m and 20m.
The vessel has twin 420 hp Iveco Nef engines, twin shaft and propeller layout driven through Twin disc / Walter Vee drives, and fuel tanks mounted amidships to maintain the same trim, loaded or unloaded, with excellent all round visibility, a raised walk round wheelhouse, and a large clear after deck layout.
Hull design is the same basic advanced chine hull, developed by TT boat designs & South boats that is in service world wide with operators over 12 years in construction. This extensive development program has resulted in a hull design with very good internal volume and roll damping. Over 100 craft, ranging from 10 - 20 metres, have been built to these designs in various different configurations. These hulls have been developed to combine a number of advantages; finer initial entry in the forward sections rapidly becoming bluff and buoyant to give high reserves of buoyancy to maximize rough weather sea keeping, as well as loitering and to minimise pitching movement, efficient spray rails keep the deck dry and damp motions in heavy seas, a more sea-kindly shape in the forward slamming area, with a chine shape at the aft end gives exceptional stability in following seas. The shape also exhibits economical operation at cruising speed.
A double chine hull has excellent manoeuvrability, as has been proven by the many vessels in service, both at slow speed for harbour operation and at service speeds for passage making. This is due to the shape of the hull, together with careful balancing of the lateral plane area.
Careful attention has been paid to weight control and detailed design, to produce a robust and sea kindly craft fit for the demanding role of offshore survey, charter, ship supply, and patrol and or crew transfer duties. In view of the operation requirements, weight refinement is not taken to the minimum limits allowed by classification rules, but is carefully considered combining robust construction with efficient operation. The design and construction of the vessel is such that maintenance is reduced, reliability increased and in a world of deadlines, every effort is made to ensure minimal vessel down time. Both construction and outfit materials have been specifically chosen from key
suppliers to ensure that quality and reliability is not compromised.
The GRP structure is designed and generally built to the requirements of the Lloyds Register of Shipping (LRS) Special Service Craft (SSC) Rules.
