Great Northern started life as one of two fast 'panic' boats for MV Expora, port of Trieste. She spent half her life in davits, with periodic launching for systems test's and engine running. When Explora was decommissioned there were only 72 hours running shown on the Mercedes engine . The remaining years, were spent dry stored at Hull . The boat was originally built to the continental equivalent of Lloyds A! , all underwater gear is in stainless steel.
She will top out at 11k clean at 2100 RPM and cruise at 9 at 1900 RPM. At present she is over propped and would expect her to achieve 16 ish with the correct prop.
