Incomplete shallow-draft, centreboard, glass-cement topsail gaff schooner (2 masts) designed as a live-aboard vessel.

Design based on a 1900’s North American East Coast Nantucket fishing schooner.

A labour of love unfinished due to the passing of the owner, marine architect and boat-builder William
Laurance.

The following specifications will provide a rough indication of the boats current condition.

Complete

• Glass cement hull and centre-board case complete (epoxy sprayed inside and out).
• Oak rudder with tiller complete.
• Oak centreboard complete.
• All stainless steel tankage including water, sewage and flume tanks complete.
• Circular teak cockpit complete with teak binnacle and wheel.
• All stainless-steel chain plates attached.

Incomplete

• Teak deck planks cut in 22ft lengths but not laid.
• Iroko gunwale and taff-rail (complete with posts) cut but not assembled.
• Virtually all the wood is cut and ready for the 1 ¾ thick cabin sides and roofs.
• Incomplete 12ft stainless steel A-frame bowsprit (4inch diameter tubes and 1 ¼ inch diameter handrails.)
• No masts.

All in fine working condition. Ready to motor.

Currently sitting on a substantial yard trailer built by William Laurance.
