The Mercury Verado 150 was installed in 2009 and has done 350 hours. It is protected with the Datatag security system. It has been regularly serviced and has performed faultlessly. It is fly-by-wire and linked to two Smartcraft multifunction gauges that provide engine hours, fuel consumption, battery voltage, oil pressure, trim position, engine temp and others. It even enables you to set a trolling speed. A three bladed stainless steel Vengeance prop at the business end enables the boat to cruise between 17 and 23 knots and will top out at 30kts if lightly loaded. The performance is helped by the Infused Fibreglass Hull, a production method that Ocqueteau have perfected, that provides a light-weight but stiff hull. There is hydraulic steering making handling light and responsive. The 200 litre fuel tank provides well over 100 mile range even with 20% spare.

Other information:
Ocqueteau build high specification boats and this 775 coupled to a supercharged Mercury Verado outboard provides a comfortable, refined and easy to handle boat. The good size cabin and open deck space provides flexibility whether you want overnighting at an isolated anchorage or a day wreck fishing with friends. The extensive specification provides
The cabin sleeps 4 with a large double transfer bed under the cockpit and a cabin that converts by lowering the table with a cushion on top. There is a stand up heads with sea toilet, sink with pumped water and a double gas hob. There is plenty of storage under the seats in the V berth as well as under and at the foot of the bed. LED lights and portholes provide enough light to ensure that it does not feel claustrophobic no matter what the time of day.

The shape of the hull creates a smooth ride into a sea and even the open cockpit stays dry. There are cushions and a back rest for the rear seat and a cushion for the bow seat. The cockpit can be enclosed with a full cover that creates more living space. A tonneau protects from the sun or rain. The cockpit includes good sized port, starboard and central locker as well as a locker under the seat and an isolated self-draining locker for the gas bottle. There is a transom mounted sink and shower fed from a 100 ltr water tank. The swim platform includes a ladder so that you ca go swimming when the weather permits.

The patio doors can be fully opened and the teak transoms incorporates 4 rod holders.
The 2.76 m (9ft) beam provides good size side decks that lead to the bow with a 7.5 kg bruce anchor linked to 10 m of chain and 60 m of warp. The electric windlass operates from foot switches near the locker or cabin switches.
There is a 110 Ahr leisure battery renewed in 2017 that is linked through a voltage sensing relay so ensuring that it is kept charged whilst not discharging the engine starting battery,

A Little History: Although a 2004 hull, the boat was used as a display model on the Dart and not launched until 2008. The Mercury Verado 150 was installed in August 2009 to improve efficiency without compromising performance. I purchased the boat in January 2013 and it has been kept in Plymouth or in Teignmouth ever since. I have used it for overnighting, and fishing. Big Red has always performed faultlessly and started first turn of the key. Ocqueteau is not as well known as the equivalent Beneteau Antares or Jeanneau Merry Fisher but in my opinion they are built to a higher standard with better fittings and more care. If you are not convinced come for a sea trial.
