This vessel is currently positioned in Penzance Wet Dock, Cornwall.

The Karina Olsen was originally a North Sea fishing vessel, purchased from Grimsby in 1994 and was a two year restoration project in Hull. Following restoration, it was used it on dive charters and as a survey vessel. Currently, the boat is used as live aboard residential accommodation.

Danish construction, heavily built for strength for fishing in the North Sea.

She has oak on oak sister framed construction and the deck is redwood pine. She also has doubled stringers made of oak.

The main engine is a Gardner 8L3B and it has been fully reconditioned. The gearbox was sent to a factory for a full strip down and has had new clutch plates, crankshaft reground new pistons and liners, heads reconditioned new valves ,new timing chain recon fuel pump, new injectors, starter motor plus a spare one. It needs new batteries.

Wheel house is aluminium and whaleback.
Original brass Danish compass.

The deck need some attention, requiring new timbers, recaulking and needs a re-paint.
The vessel was always slipped at Fowey but due to ill health/old age this has not been possible recently. Therefore it would make a fantastic project.
