Ex Royal Navy Cheverton Motorboat.

I bought this boat as a project 5 years ago. During that time, a lot of work has been done and the boat has been used and enjoyed throughout. I really do not have the time anymore to commit to finishing the boat and using it.

Fitted with a Perkins 6.354 diesel engine, fed from two separate tanks. The engine runs great. I had the fuel pump and injectors overhauled last year (2014). Reconditioned starter motor fitted May 2015. (see attached youtube link for video)
Normal cruising speed of 8 knots, top speed of around 12 knots.

The boat has a total capacity of 20 passengers and 2 crew.

Being listed as a project. I bought the boat 5 years ago after it had lay in a yard for 10 years. The fibreglass hull is exceptionally strong and in good order, the hull and cabins have been painted a few times! (twice in my ownership as per pics). The hull has timber fendering (teak), the top horizontal fendering around the gunwhales was beyond repair and has been removed to replace with D section rubber. The vertical fendering is complete and in good order, the lower horizontal fendering is in good order though a section on the Port side (aft) is missing due to damage.

There are two separate cabins with bench seating. The aft cabin has a sink/cooker unit from a caravan fitted.

The boat is generally in good order, runs & sails well and is let down by cosmetics (paint and fendering)

Boat is currently ashore in Glasgow, available for viewing by appointment. Though listed as a project, it is a working boat which could be put into water and sailed away and used. I have continued with repairs/upgrades whilst being able to get some use/reward from the boat during my ownership.

These boats were originally designed and built for the Admiralty (Royal Navy) for use on warships. This boat was originally battleship grey, it has seen life on a ship, with it's davit-lifting points still fitted. This boat was built by Cheverton Boats in Cowes; who are renowned for their quality and well-built boats. This boat has been very substantially constructed, it is a tried-and-tested design which will take any sea conditions.

I will consider swapping for a Cheverton Champ or Motor Whaler..

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO SELLERS YOU CANNOT VERIFY AS GENUINE.

If possible, travel to view the boat or equipment yourself and only buy once you are happy with it.
