Additional Information:

Built 1932 by J Stephens which was the original Macduff Yard as a sailing ring netter with auxiliary engine for the NE Scotland fishing fleet in Banff. Used in active fishing until 1979 the main Gardner engine was installed in 1958. From 1980 – 1988 Family’s Pride was extensively restored and converted including new sternpost and metal keel foot, re-planked in the underwater areas and main engine had a full rebuild and overhaul. She was used privately and as a sail training vessel until 2000 where the current owner has cared for her and used her as a private vessel until present day. The vessel lives on a swinging mooring in Ringhaddy Co.Down N.Ireland and has been out of the water every year antifouled and fresh anodes. The hull, engineering are all in good working order and she has been cruising the west coast of Scotland, this has been on ongoing project and there is still some cosmetic work to do but reluctantly due to ill health the owner is selling.
