M.V kari was built for Colonel Mason scion of the Fortnum and Mason Emporium in London at the Thornbush yard inverness, it was built to the highest 1965 standards as was befitting a millionaire. It was a two berth cabin cruiser and was sold to Alexander Mackenzie of dry island in 1973 and stayed in the family until the 1990s, it was converted into a small creel boat and then as a tour boat for many years, always staying in the local area. Boat could be used for many uses and could even be converted back to a cabin cruiser fit for a millionaire!!
