This boat was previously used as a workboat for the nature reserve on Brownsea Island.
It was originally named Helen Brotherton, (now shortened to Helen B).
Helen Brotherton was one of the behind-the-scenes heroines of British conservation. Her lasting claim to fame was that she led the campaign to save one
of Britain's best-known wildlife sanctuaries, Brownsea Island, in Poole Harbour Dorset.
