Repairs and Maintenance
REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE
Voyager Boatyard can maintain vessels ranging from the large local passenger vessels to smaller pleasure yachts.
With a customer base that return each year for their annual maintenance requirements, we have repair facilities for GRP, steel, aluminium and wooden vessels.
We have engineering workshops, upholstery workshops, a fully equipped joinery shop, stainless steel fabrication shops and mild steel fabrication and welding facility. Advice and help is on hand for the vessel’s owners.
Marine surveys can be carried out by a fully qualified yacht surveyor affiliated to the Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association and a member of MECAL, MCA authorised coding surveyors.
Voyager Boatyard has a well-respected heritage as a quality boat builder, and has built many vessels over the past 25 years, including steel passenger boats now operating in places such as Plymouth, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Poole, the Clyde and Loch Ness.
We are resurrecting this side of the business to once again see boats of the highest standard of craftsmanship being built at Voyager Marine.
We offer a professional pressure washing service, carried out at the top of the slipway prior to your vessel going into storage. We advise that all boats should be pressure washed before going into storage or maintenance.
Voyager Boatyard was established more than 25 years ago and offers a variety of marine facilities including boat storage, repair, maintenance and new builds. Conveniently located on the west side of the Tamar River at Millbrook near Torpoint, we offer easy access up the well-marked channel at high tide and a free of charge pilotage service to see you safely in.
We are a family run business, rooted firmly in the marine industry as owners of a successful ferry, cruise and fishing operation, Plymouth Boat Trips and managers of Royal William Yard Marina, Plymouth.
