Brief description;
2006 Arvor 230as. VW150 upgraded to 180hp with less than 600 hrs. Simrad Go9, Garmin DSC VHF, Hot/Cold FW, Trim tabs, washdown and baitwell solar power, anchor windlass. Superb condition all round, In the water Portsmouth area ready for sea trial. If you are in the market for an Arvor this one won’t disappoint. £26500 possible part ex with smaller trailer boat.

In detail;
For sale is a much loved and very well cared for Arvor 230as. I am selling as i am in part ownership and my partner has now retired and wishes to cash in his investment.
We have owned the boat for the last two years, it was in good order when it came to us, a mark above the rest we looked at and we have only improved on this.
Since we have owned it we have fitted a Lewmar profish 1000 windlass which has a fixed operating point at the helm and is also remote controlled with two remote fobs available. This windlass has tons of power and effortlessly brings in the anchor. There is an anchor with 100m of Anchorplait warp which does not get tangled in the windlass like 3 ply.
We have also fitted a calorifier and FW pump so she now has hot and cold water to the tap. The water from the calorifier will stay hot for hours.
The twin batteries were replaced in 2021 and whilst this was being done we took the opportunity to install a split charge system and replaced all of the main wiring with tinned copper marine grade. She has solar power and this gives enough power to charge both batteries through the split charger.
We also replaced the washdown pump with a new unit that performs really well, again while doing this the wiring for this and the baitwell pump was replaced with marine grade tinned copper.
A fishing rod holder was custom made and fitted to the wheelhouse roof.
The Spiel pickup in the diesel tank has been replaced with a stainless unit. These are normally copper and regularly split causing fuel issues. Whilst doing this we fitted new fuel lines and a high quality Racor in line filter.
The turbo was replaced just before we bought the boat (we have receipt) and has been perfect ever since as has the engine. We recently changed the oil, coolant and engine anode all with VW recommended. We also changed the engine mounts and renewed the shaft and rudder cutlass when we bought her. I have a full VW150 workshop manual and the VW quick guide manuals that will all come with the boat.
I have replaced the ECU with an upgraded ECU from West Wales Tuning which gives approximately 180hp instead of 150. I believe this has caused the Hrs to reset as it is currently reading 23, however the Hrs are present on the service sticker for the cambelt change in July 2020 at 462. Since we have owned it we have covered around 50 Hrs. Even though I have not yet repitched the prop the difference in performance is very noticeable, the original ECU will also come with the boat.
Three bilge pumps are fitted, they are all wired to come on automatically and have manual override.
Nav lights are all quality LED units by Hella Marine, Cabin lights are LED. Twin pantograph windscreen wipers are fitted. Trim tabs are fitted. Chemical toilet comes with the boat. All Simrad Go9 will come with the boat which gives downscan/sidescan and chirp sonar via the 3 in1 transducer. The HDS in the pictures will not come with the boat but possibly negotiated separately as this was purchased by myself only. This is networked via NMEA 2000 to the Garmin DSC VHF unit. Lastly there is a Sony radio fitted with speakers.

Overall the boat is in excellent order with everything working having been regularly cleaned, polished and maintained.
It is in the water in Portsmouth area on a non tidal mooring so is ready to be sea trialed. I can also what's app video call from the boat if required.
There is a possibility of the mooring being transferred if required.
I can arrange transportation through a company with the correct trailers for Arvors, transportation costs would be at buyers expense.
Price is £26500 with the possibility of part ex a smaller trail boat around 20ft.


If possible, travel to view the boat or equipment yourself and only buy once you are happy with it.
