For sale is my BJR Westral Chief 23' fishing boat. I may be in a position to accept a smaller boat in part exchange.

She is a full commercial build vessel with very heavy fibreglass lay up, thick steel keel band and massive rubber 'd' fenders.She has a self-draining deck with four inch scuppers. Power is from a Ford Sabre 212 Commercial which is a 6 cylinder 6.2 litre turbo intercooler producing 212hp through a velvet v drive gearbox.

The self-draining deck has access hatches to engine, fuel tank, sea cock and gearbox. There is hydraulic steering via a huge bronze ram and full stainless rudder.

She has been fully refurbished over the last 12 months, to include full scrape and two coats of antifoul with Hempel Tiger Extra, most anodes renewed, gearbox refurbished, most hoses and pipework changed and new fuel filters, including a huge Racor pre filter. There is a multi battery setup below the wheelhouse floor and she is a superb starter. New Smart Tab SX 10.5" × 12" 90lb trim tabs were also fitted.

The wheelhouse has been fully reworked/re-modelled with built-in furniture, including new helm, helm seat and pedestal, seating, ample storage and recessed rod storage.

Shore power is fitted along with two twin sockets. Basic fishfinder and plotter in the Garmin Echo 550C and Garmin Echomap 50S. Lowrance Link 5 DSC VHF with antenna mounted on a new A frame atop the wheelhouse and helm compass are also in place, along with twin wipers and a full complement of nav lights and gauges.

She has two bilge pumps, two fire extinguishers (one automatic), USB ports, voltage monitor and two smart battery chargers, one of which is a Victron Smart charger with bluetooth. Fitted with a Seaflo high output deck wash to the rear of the wheelhouse.

All pulpit rails and rear handrails are in heavy duty stainless steel. The stern handrail is removable. There are rod holders to the rear deck. Comes with a horseshoe life belt, some fenders and anchor with rope and chain.

I believe that nothing has been overlooked in the refurbishment of this handsome fishing boat and hopefully, you'll see that from the photographs.

David Andrew is for sale as plans have changed and she is too big of a vessel for me now. You could easily accomodate 6-8 anglers on the huge rear deck.

I'm in a position to accept a smaller boat in part exchange. I would prefer a boat on a trailer, but not necessarily so.

There are crane and power washing facilities available at this end.
