Deckhand / Sailor with Sailing & Navigation Experience
Skills & Certifications:

Trained in sailing yacht and catamaran operation (Thailand, 2022).

Proficient in day/night coastal navigation, sail trimming, and motor yacht handling.

Experienced in marine radio communication (VHF protocols, emergency procedures).

Skilled in docking, mooring, and anchoring in varying conditions.

Basic knowledge of safety procedures, knot tying, and onboard maintenance.

STCW Basic Safety Training (to be obtained, if applicable).

Practical Experience:

12 days of hands-on sailing in Thai waters, including:

Crew coordination and watchkeeping.

Navigation using charts and GPS.

Responding to changing weather/tides.

Familiar with deck operations, line handling, and sail adjustments.

Adaptability:

Quick learner, physically fit for demanding maritime work.

Comfortable with long shifts and teamwork in harsh conditions.

Eager to expand skills in commercial fishing (e.g., crabbing, trawling).

Languages:

English (working proficiency), Russian/Kazakh (native).

Seeking entry-level deckhand position on a crabbing vessel. My sailing experience taught me seamanship, resilience, and teamwork—ready to transfer these skills to commercial fishing. Willing to undergo additional safety/gear training.
