After much consideration, we have decided to put the Hartley PZ130 up for sale. It has not been an easy decision as she was custom built to realise my dad’s idea which was to spend his retirement fishing at his pleasure around the South Devon coastline on a smaller vessel than a beam trawler! Due to a change in personal circumstances, this will not happen now.

The hull was purchased in 1991 and she has been lovingly restored by well-known local boat builders Dave Houcke, Bobby Cann and my dad with teak decking and a handmade galley and cabin with fully fitted mattresses. The Hartley is a fibreglass Falmouth Oyster Lugger from Martin Heards Gaffers and Luggers Yard in Mylor, Cornwall. She has a Cat A limited fishing licence (non-sector). She can catch 350kg of species PA (no bass and no shellfish). She comes fully fitted with a two drum trawl winch (approximately half a ton and this was second hand), plotter, radio and autopilot.
We would be willing to sell her with or without the licence.
Hartley would be perfect for someone who wants a little project to complete before she is ready to go fishing. She has never been used and apart from the winch, everything is brand new.
For the boat we are looking for OIRO £20K +VAT and with the licence OIRO £26K +VAT.
