This 7 berth boat is arranged with a double berth forward, Saloon with seating/berths, galley.
Franz Schubert is a round bilged wooden Carvel built boat with Oak Frames and Iroko/Pine Planking.
The wheelhouse is of aluminium construction and coachroof fore and aft are epoxy sheathed timber. The Teak planked deck was renewed in 1998.
Douglas Fir wooden masts and booms.
Bow Thruster fitted.
The yard designer, James Evans, took inspiration from the well proven Scottish fishing boats which had worked the rough waters of the North Sea for many years and designed a motor yacht with the characteristic seaworthy lines but altered to make an excellent private yacht with good sea keeping capability, large volume, good sized cabins and masses of headroom.
The Inchcape was built in a number of different sizes but the 45′ was the most popular as a compromise between size and manageability.
