Lex ferenda came to shetland in july 2022 and since then has undergone a fairly hefty refit costing just shy of £85k

The boat has just gone threw the MCA last week and this was to the new regulations.

The boat was out the water in may 2022 in burghead and we had a sonic test carried out with results showing maximum wastage of 0.13mm
the steelwork is in very good order.
When she was out we done the following
Needle gunned the entire hull, deck etc.
New hand rails added to new MCA regs
New large hatch and ladder into the fishroom
2 coats of 2 pack primer and 2 coats of 2 pack paint has been done to the whole boat.
New alloy mast made and fitted 2022
The boat has gone a complete rewire from scratch
Every light on the boat is new and LED, 4 x led's in engine room, 4 led's in the fish room, 1 led aft, loads of deck lights,

new 33" x 23” 4 blade prop from FAL
All prop bearings stripped and checked and one replaced 2023
wheelhouse stripped back and insulated with kingspan and lined out 2023

there will be loads missed.
the boat has a massive fish hold.. 4.2 meters x 4 meters and 1.6 meters high. can nearly stand in it. loads of freeboard 700mm i think.
Brilliant sea boat in very good order now.

she goes well with the new prop.. just over 7 knots at 1200 rpm. very very cheap to run.
