This is the 6.8 litre naturally aspirated engine built by YUCHAI from China specifically for marine propulsion in commercial applications.
Other ratings may be available to comply with license requirements.

YUCHAI are the largest independent diesel engine manufacturer in China, building 600,000 diesel engines per year. YUCHAI diesel engines are used in a variety of applications besides marine including trucks, buses, construction machinery, power generation and fire pumps.

This heavy duty engine is specifically designed for use in commercial marine applications where reliability and robust construction is key.

The engine is supplied ‘Bobtailed’ (without gearbox) and is assembled with the following options;
•Heavy duty side rail mounting system
•Adjustable anti vibration mounts.
•Twin wall high pressure fuel injection pipes & leak detection system.
•2 additional grooves on crank pulley
•SAE 2 flywheel housing and SAE 11.5” flywheel
•24Volt starter motor and alternator
•Mechanical fuel injection system
•Belt driven Jabsco sea water pump
•Water cooled exhaust outlet elbow
•Local & wheelhouse digital instrument panels with connecting wiring loom
•First service parts kit
•Owners manual and warranty registration documents. This is a new engine but old stock and out of warranty, however Power Torque will offer 3 months parts & labour warranty.

Engine is available from stock at our centrally located Coventry warehouse.
