17' open fishing boat/day boat/launch.

This has been a personal project over the last couple of years for me and has been stripped almost to a bare hull (only one bulkhead left in) and has had a complete refit from there up to what you see now.

The main features include the fully sealed deck, new marine ply stringers, new stainless engine beds, custom outboard bracket, marine ply bulkheads & lockers (all glassed and topcoated), large anchor locker, large dry locker.

The hull has been stripped back to original gel and treated with gel shield up to the waterline and painted with trilux 33 antifouling, above the waterline has been painted with oxford blue toplac plus. The exterior woodwork is a mixture of larch and oak, I have allowed this to grey/weather, but with a sand and some oil or varnish would also look great.

The engine is a 13.5hp Volvo penta MD7A 2 cylinder diesel, this has had a top end rebuild and it runs like a swiss watch - they really don't make them like they used to. This is connected to a new flexi coupling, coupling, propshaft and propeller and has only been used for sea trials since the top end rebuild. The fuel tank is 40l and stainless steel, she only sips fuel so you could run for weeks on this.

She handles great on the water, very planted and stable and handles chop/swell nicely. Will sit around 5-5.5 knots all day long.

I feel I should stress I'm a professional marine engineer and came from a boat building background before that so all work has been completed to a high standard using top quality materials, this is not your typical DIY project.
