Shetland Alaska 500 with the original GRP body and hull and a Mariner 75hp outboard engine. The Alaska 500 is one of the better boats made by Shetland and has a huge deck space for a small boat. Very very sea worthy and a very stable platform. This boat is ideal for fishing, which is what we have used it for. It fishes 4 adults with ease and plenty of room for gear. There are rod holders all over the place.

They were originally licenced for 6 adults so also make a perfect family boat. It has a swim ladder fitted at the rear.

The captains seat swivels a full 360 degrees and there is plenty of additional seating along the front bench and two rear moulded seats. There is lots of storage under the seats and a forward storage compartment.

The engine is a Mariner 75hp with remote controls. The engine is remote key start and starts first time. It pumps water nicely with a nice strong flow from the tell-tale hole. It has power tilt/trim controlled from the main lever control. The engine automixes the oil with the petrol so all you have to is keep the oil reservoir topped up. 2 x 25 litre Quicksilver remote fuel tanks are included and one still has a fair amount of fuel in there.

The roller trailer was fitted with brand new independent suspension units and bearings last year - it has only been used twice since then.

The boat is fitted with a VHF aerial and a Cobra radio is included. There are also port and starboard navigation lights. An electric bilge pump is fitted which pumps water nicely if ever needed. A twin 12v battery setup is housed under one of the rear seats which feeds all the electrics with ease.

No towing light board included so please ensure you bring your own if you are considering purchasing the boat. Also please note the wheel clamp and trailer lock are NOT included in the sale.

The main down sides are it could do with a good clean and the deck could do with a repaint but it is perfectly usable without. The rear bulkhead may need looking at as the previous owner cut the rear compartment hole larger but didn't seal of the cuts and water has got in there over the years.
