Mark Twain, a cornish crabber built by Curtis & Pape Bros at Looe, Cornwall.She under went extensive maintenance winter 22/23. She was surveyed and all points addressed. This included replacing 1 transom plank and below water line caulking, removing old paint and anti fouling, priming glossing and anti fouling with jotun commercial antifoul. The hull is larch on oak frames, copper fixings, all in good condition as per the survey. The bulworks are capped with hardwood with custom s/s handrails. There are 2 12v electric bilge pumps (1 manual,1 auto) 1 hand pump and a jabsco pump running off the engine switchable between bilge and deck wash functions. The accommodations are a bosuns locker accessed from the fore deck that has seating, a manual head and access to under deck storage.The wheelhouse/deck saloon is accessed from the starboard side deck via a sliding door to the central helm position. A step down into the saloon with kitchen area to port. This comprises a gas cooker 2 rings, grill and oven, sink with hand pumped cold water and new 12v fridge freezer. Beyond the kitchen there are port and starboard bench seats which pull out to provide 2 x 2'6" x6'3" bunks, with storage below. A second head is at the rear of the saloon accessed via a sliding door. There are 2 x 50 gallon fuel tanks below the wheelhouse floor and a 20 gallon s/s water tank beneath the saloon floor. On the wheelhouse roof there is a short mast holding the radar dome and nav/running lights and various led spotlights. There are also 4 x 120 watt solar panels.Two are connected to the 2 x 155ah starting and domestic batteries and 2 are connected to a separate 12v battery powering the fridge. Behind the saloon at the aft cockpit there is a seat/locker containing a 8 man liferaft. Adjacent to the pot hauler there is a L shaped locker which contains the 2400watt lpg fuelled generator and the anchor,chain and rope (250'). She is at present on a deep water mooring in Langstone Harbour paid until end of March 24. This mooring would be available to a new owner through the Langstone Harbour Board. There is a 12' tender available as a separate item.
