Gitte Marie is a beautiful example of an old Danish fishing boat built in 1943 and is in good condition for her age. Looks great runs perfectly engine starts at the touch of a button and is used on a regular basis. Lots of work has been carried out on the boat complete re-caulking below water line some deck boards have been replaced and a new oak Samson post just fitted
I purchased her in 2018 from Snaptun in Denmark where she being used as a bicycle/passenger ferry after being retired from fishing. Sailed her back across the North Sea via the Kiel canal and had many adventures since. Including Scotland’s west coast, Caledonian canal Portsoy traditional boat festival and in February this year she was hired for filming in Peaky Blinders series six again in Portsoy Aberdeenshire. Steaming there and back with no problems 24 hours each way. She has been anti-fouled regularly and is due to be lifted out of the water on 9th July until 15th July for anti-fouling and new anodes if required.
