For sale my Arvor 230 AS De Lux in very good condition both aesthetically and mechanically. She is a 2009 model with very low hours - only 192hrs to date but as am fishing her at least once every week this is going to increase. She has the benefit of the full electric upgrade pack – bow thruster, anchor winch (operated from inside the cabin and from the bow using the hand operated remote), trim tabs, and pumped fresh water to sink. She also has a full cock pit canopy enclosure for weekends away when you want to completely cover the cockpit for extra accommodation or just fit the overhead canopy to keep you dry when fishing- I have taken this off as I don’t use it but will come with the boat- this is a very expensive option from Arvor and that is why you don’t find many of these for sale with these boats.
She has been professionally maintained by M&P Marine Engineers of Dover at no matter the cost and whatever needed has been undertaken.
3 months ago I had her fully ‘’health checked’’ over by M&P Marine Engineers at Dover - all mechanicals, hydraulics, electrical wiring and the engine serviced ready for the winter Cod fishing out of Dover. Every item that needed doing at the time was done and the invoice for £2601.60 dated 16/08/2017 is available for viewing with the boat.
During Gypsy Lea’s ‘’health check’’ including a sea trial by the marine engineers so they could fully assess all that may need doing to her I took the opportunity to fully upgrade her electronics with the latest side and down imaging technology and upgrade her navigation equipment so she has 3g Radar and AIS overlay on the Gen 3 touch screen MFD plotter. All Lowrance equipment- HDS7 GEN 3 MFD, 3g Broadband radar- with new radar arch, Lowrance link 8 VHF AIS with new VHF Antenna along with 2 x Lowrance through hull stainless steel structure scan transducers fitted (independent transducers for port and starboard sides of the hull- gives much better imaging-purchase cost £1200 just for the transducers!) and a new through hull traditional sonar transducer fitted. I also had fitted a new shore power pack including new stainless steel shore power socket and remote shore power lead, Jabsco search light remote operated from inside the wheel house and a new LED deck light and a Fushion marine Bluetooth stereo fitted with new FM antenna. I have had new anchor with rope and chain fitted so there are no issues when using the anchor winch or anchoring in 100ft of water when Cod fishing.
The boat full ‘‘health check’’ engineers cost including fitting the new electronics with the new Lowrance kit, Jabsco search light, LED Deck light, new anchor/rope and chain totalled in excess of £7,600.00- 3 months ago!
So the new owner of Gypsy Lea has nothing to do when he/she buys her and can start fishing without any worries or extra expense and I can be sure I have sold her in as great a condition as possible and happy that I will get no comebacks and I want my new boat in her berth I have had her taken out of the water and the shaft withdrawn and checked and a new cutlass bearing fitted along with a new shaft seal, new internal hard wired intelligent battery charger fitted which charges all three on board batteries from the new shore power hook up (also fitted new additional XV31MF engine starting battery with new isolator switching as she only had one engine starting battery and 1x standalone bow thruster battery). On the advice of M&P Marine engineers we did not fit the standard Arvor £120 seal kit but a £440 Tides Marine Sure Seal as fitted on Sunseekers- a serious quality shaft seal and will out last the standard Arvor seal by years! New antifoul & annodes.These repairs and new installations ready for her new owner cost me another £2351.49 on the 07/09/2017- I have spent just over £9,900.00 on my Arvor in the last 3 months- she is an absolute bargain at the advertised price.
