REDUCED by £1,000: ROMANY FASTFISHER 21 (6.4 metres). The legendary boat with a rope, designed/built by Graham Farish / Gordon Payne of Poole Dorset. The Romany was primarily built as a commercial fishing boat, but its sea kindly manners ensured it had a great leisure use following. Many hundreds were built for commercial customers including Trinity House & Government Depts, they were also exported worldwide. This DVO (deep vee outdrive) planning hull version is a great example of this classic workboat; so if you appreciate British boat craftmanship grab this opportunity to own a coastal cruiser and fishing boat with great class and history that has undergone extensive renovation.

FULLY REFURBISHED >2018; >4 years of investment and work. Including new decking & supports throughout. Original design incorporated a lot of mahogany wood trim and this has been retained in the wheelhouse. A mostly sealed deck draining to aft bilges fitted with 2 Whale bilge pumps, one automatic. An extra auto bilge pump is fitted under the wheelhouse floor. Domestic wiring completely replaced with modern fused system, junction boxes with bus bar/s distribution & fused switches to numerous electrics. Deck and cabin fittings have been kept simple as she was mostly used for sport angling and thus allow for adaption to an extra berth, different cockpit seating etc.

MECHANICALS: ~2001 PERKINS SABRE 92 Hp diesel inboard & VOLVO PENTA 290 Outdrive.(has hydraulic tilt and can be fully lifted such that boat could be kept on a drying mooring) Both COMPLETELY STRIPPED DOWN & RE-BUILT in late 2018. Cruise all day at 5-6 Kts sipping diesel at 1700 RPM; Theoretical max RPM is 2400 for this long lived, economical engine – top speed not tested due to low hours since re-build. Vessel could be re-engined to give higher speed performance but at today’s very high fuel costs – why would you? SAFETY: SEAGO 6 person offshore life-raft, fully serviced in June 2021 and fitted within strong GRP cannister and located on wheelhouse roof in a purpose built s/steel rack for easy deployment. Still under a long warranty. (RRP> £1350). Multiple marine grade stainless steel grab rails, folding dive/swim ladder, fore-deck stanchions and a high bow rail. Non-slip surfacing to most decks. 7.5 Kgs Bruce Anchor, ~75 metres warp and chain - pulleys and cleats to facilitate single handed deployment/retrieval from cockpit. Full LED navigation lights, domestic lighting and spot lights. 3 bilge pumps – 2 are automatic. ELECTRONICS: Quality Garmin echomap50DV SONAR – CHARTPLOTTER (RRP>£700) with route planning, waymarks, man over-board functions etc. A Standard Horizon Explorer VHF radio (RRP> £200) that incorporates a GPS and a DSC one touch emergency button; vessel is registered with MMSI to HM Coastguard. Recent twin high AMP start 12 Volt batteries providing various engine and domestic power via a VETUS marine 2 way cut off switch. Otherwise, loads of new fittings such as access hatches, GRP portholes, morse control, multiple cleats, folding cooker shelf, GRP engine box with soundproofing and a purpose built batteries box that doubles as a bench seat, as does the anchor/warp locker. All the work carried out to a high standard using Lloyds Approved GRP and Resins – this confirmed by a PROFFESIONAL SURVEY REPORT IN LATE MARCH 2021 that indicated no significant issues. Survey report will be made available along with dozens of receipts for parts and work done. Boat ashore at main Gwynedd Council yard, Pwllheli Marina, Gwynedd.

Guide price as shown but negotiable, e-mail me for extra pictures, arrange a viewing and discussion. N.B. If you are not going to store and use the boat locally, e.g. in N.Cardigan - Tremadog Bay, and before you view, please fully consider how you are going to transport it, e.g. via 4x4 and heavy duty road trailer or professional boat movers etc
Very reluctant sale, however, I have too many other hobbies and she deserves to be used more regularly.
